BARUG NewsApril 2005
Last month:Last month saw Paul Middleton giving us the low-down on how RISCOS Ltd. view the world. Our thanks go to him for, once again, taking the time to come and talk to the group.
One important message he had was that we are approaching the end of RISCOS 4.02 as the default 'new' operating system. From the point in the near future when all current stocks of 4.02 ROMs are sold the default will be RISCOS Adjust (4.39). Current stocks of 4.02 are being offered at a special price: see
for more infomation.
This month:
This month we are privileged to welcome Graham Shaw. Graham will tell us about the RISC OS Toolkit which is an aid in the development of C++ programmes for RISCOS. If time allows he will also tell us about the Packaging Project too.
See
for more information.
Other news:
Castle is offering money back on any Iyonix bought before the General Election. See
for the details.

Steve is still happy to be our Chairman if no other applicants come forward so, if no such step forward, it is intended that we hold an Extraordinary General Meeting immediately prior to the AGM to update those parts of the Constitution in need, those parts being:
It is important that we have a good turn out for the AGM in May not only so we are quorate but so that members have opportunity to discuss and control the running of their club. Please do attend this meeting and encourage any other members to do so also. See you at the April meeting, Tony |
